Can lift b measured with micrometer or install in.mock block and do it that way? Thanks for any help.

The cam would have to be out of the vechicle. If it is a dual pattern cam mark an intake and exhaust lobe. Measure the greatest distance on the lobe (top to bottom, and record. Then measure the smallest distance (side). Subtract the numbers, smallest from largest. Record the result and multipy by your rocker arm ratio, 1.73" is stock BBF. Subtract the amount of lash you run from the lift if it is a mechanical. This should get you pretty close to the lift at the valve.

Sides of lobe. The first calculation will give you lobe lift, and can be referenced in cam catalogs as such.

call your local machine shop and ask them if they have or know of some that has a cam doctor. they can give you all the info possible for a small fee
