Cam identification help?
I tore down my 69' 429 last night and the previous owner told me it had a cam but didn't know the specs. I pulled the cam out and on the non-gear end it was stamped 2027, but couldn't find any other stampings. Any idea what cam this is or who it's made by at least?

Mock it back up in the motor, use a degree wheel and dial indicator to map it all out. When the lifter reaches .050 the degree wheel will tell you the duration at 50, rotate it until the lifter is on the peak of the lobe then multiply the tappet lift by your rocker ratio. Measure the distance between lobe peaks and that's your lobe separation angle. Kind of a pain but it works. Or find a local performance shop that has a cam dr.

Also if it's a ford cam by chance, good ID reference here: http://www.mustangtek.com/Camshaft/camshaft.html
