272 wheel base dragster and a small block..for now. your thoughts?
getting ready to do a spitzer 272" T/D and going with a small block ford to start off with, what are your thoughts on what it would run and compared to a big block that will later going in it
sbf- dart block 4.125 bore, bryant 4.250 stroke, 6.250 oliver rods, diamond flat tops, BT 3.60 heads lunati solid roller, I.R intake with rons terminators on it, 16:1 comp. 2-1/8 headers to 2-3/8 4" collectors, reid case glide 33.5''x17 slicks and a 4.10 gear.
bbf eliminator block 4.600 bore, 4.500 stroke 6.800 rods, profiler heads lunati cam, HRE I.R. intake two 1250's motor should make around 1200 or so give and take 15.5:1 comp
bbf wont be completed til the end/winter of 2015 season, will run at the N/A weight for each set up, whata re your thoughts? what should it run?

IMO it will be way slower than the BBF.
NA stuff that's fast in TD are real big. Haven't noticed any competitive NA small blocks.

If you want to be in the top part of the field in division 3 that's what you need.

Id think either of those when ported properly with large valves would work fine. But you will have issues getting to 800" with factory bore spacing.
Charlie will probably chime in as he has a fair amount of experience With both heads

The fast guys are running N2O or blowers. That's the cheapest way to go fast, and,,,,,,,,,, you can do it on a small block.

You need to get with a blower company or someone who builds blower engines to see what's the latest trends and what's competitive. The only competitive small block I recall off the top
Of my head is that twin turbo AMC
