Thoughts on using wheel spacers
Trying to keep the cost down on a street car and would like to use a Pro Star wheel vs an Alumastar type wheel. The closest BS on the wheel is 5.5" and I really need 5" of BS.
Think a good quality 1/2" thick billet spacer would be OK on the street?

Probably be fine but not ideal. I would most likely run big studs.

Might be OK. Just noticed Centerline makes the Telstar with 5" of BS. That'll work fine. A set of Pro Stars in 5.5" BS along with spacers is the same overall price as a set of Telstars.
Just can't justify Alumastars or Sanders wheels for a real street car. Too expensive if I smack a curb...

A thin half inch thick billet wheel spacer on big 5/8 x 11/16 drive studs shouldn't be a problem, it's done all the time. But using wheel spacers on smaller-regular 7/16 or 1/2 wheel studs is just asking for trouble IMO.
