The Heat is On

Man the temp here is going to be 96° today with the heat index over a 100° but you got to love the south looking like a hot and sticky summer for sure.

I have to water my garden today

Sucks to be you!  

Those of us around here had only about two weeks of spring.
It went from 40's to 80's in two weeks.

I am not complaining ... I just think about those 10 degree mornings and 6 inches of snow to shovel.

Yep. From winter to summer. 97 here today with a heat index around 103. Sucks but got to push through it. It's supposed to be back in the eighties next week. With lots of storms.

Highest we got today was 60 , 40 last night , no wonder I'm still wearing long john's !!!

been 105+ for two weeks....

Today its been cool only 97, and 10 drops of this weird stuff fell from the sky, I hear in some parts people call it rain......

Yep, gotta love summer down south. Don't know about other parts of the south, but we don't even race here in Florida this time of year. Between the 105 heat indexes everyday, and the rain everynight its just not fun or worth it for that matter.

It is about the same here in south georgia going try go do some more TNT friday if the rain get out of here. That one thing about this time of the year is the heat index and rain.

We just race at night. Nothing like final round at 400 am
Stop at denies for breakfast after the night at the track. Then go home and put car away.

I've had a few of those 4:00 AM nights too  . Couple tracks do try to run thru the summer (my home track doesn't) but I don't bother going. I guess I shouldn't complain though, because our season runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day, with a 3 week break for the holidays in Dec.
