where to mount fuel pump?

not sure if this is the right category for this Question but... where is the best place to mount electric fuel pump and filter on a fox body with a fuel cell in the trunk and a trans cooler with fan mounted to the right of spare tire well?

As close to the tank as possible they push better than they pull

YES ... below the fuel level and and close to the tank as possible.
