Fuel pump mount and plumbing.
well I'm bitting the bullit and putting an electric pump on, The only place I see to mount this is in the trunk, I'm gonna use a hole saw to put some holes in the trunk for the fuel lines does any one have suggestions where to find grommets to help with the holes ? Here are a few bad pictures.
What do ya'll think ?

Most of the big box hardware places (Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, etc) should have a selection of grommets and specialty fasteners. If not, I would think someone like Grainger would have them as well. I think Summit and Jegs do also.

Cool thatnks I just looked at summit and found some that may work. Looks like those ridges in my trunk are going to give me fits.. May be I can mount the pump on a ridge then I would have a flat surface for the grommets and hole

Three suggestions.
1. Mount the fuel pump as low as possible. That pump will not want to pull fuel uphill at all.
2. Lose the teflon tape on the AN fittings. Pipe thread, ok, but AN fittings do not require any sealer. That junk can and will break free and get in your fuel system if you're not careful.
3. Mount a big filter between the tank and the pump. The vanes in that pump are very intolerant of debris.
Good luck!

You might try spacing it slightly away from the ridges by using some flat stock that is clearanced to fit (straddled) in or across the ridges. This will move the pump away from the sheetmetal possibly allowing a little more airflow for cooling purposes?

It might be a good thing he has teflon tape on there. I could be wrong but in the third photo that looks like a brass 45* flare union with 37* AN fittings.
