1996 E4OD with a carb engine. Can it work

I want to pull the EFI engine out and repalce with Cj headed carbed engine. I can transfer the CPS, ETS, IAT, and TPS from the old engine to the new one and can use a O2 simulator in place of the sensor in the header. Seeing as the trans runs off standards maps I would think it should act OK. Going in off road truck with 42" rubber, 5.13 diffs.

I would think that you would be better off running a stand alone trans controller. It would eliminate all that extra wiring and take the ECM out of the picture. I think all you need is a TPS to run a stand alone system. Simpler I think. Good luck!

ive done it... ran pretty damn good.im going to do it all over again on a 1st gen lightning also.
