gonna leave same nos pill just back down on the fuel pill... spread it 15 & take just a tad more timing out

got it fired up last night ... sounds good.. throttle response is not as quick as the injection but that's to be expected...

Re: New Fuel system
yes, and it was horrible!!!.. damn car wouldn't get outta its own way... way too lean, didn't even attempt to qualify last race.
went back to my alky set up... may try it after the season, but for now I am sticking with injection.
Fine tuning the 4-link and made a small adjustment to the nos... we will see next race is 22nd.

Did not make a nitrous pass with the carb... just a motor pass, real lazy in the burnout, almost died when I decked it at the tree, no rpm thru out the pass, got off of it at 4-500 ft it ran a 5.84... coasting thru.. temp got up to 230 on the return road so I let it cool a bit, pulled the plugs and saw it was way lean... (94 square) did not have any bigger jets so I ran the valves and stuck it back in the trailer.. came home and got in the pool for the rest of the evening...lol
Saturday morning I put all the injection back on it and fire it up... did find a small issue with a couple of the injection nozzles but have extras so replaced them.. SUPER quick throttle respones is back and the 180* rock solid temp makes me feel alot better .
Re: New Fuel system

Jon the carb is a pro system 3 circuit deal... pretty nice one actually... but probly not as nice as yours... why dont you just send me the one thats on you car...
Re: New Fuel system
Cuz I need it. Pro systems would never find its way on anything I own or tune on, borrowed or not.

I bet not. Jets were probably fine. Damn thing was trying to run with damn near empty fuel bowls. Those pumps usually max out in the 550-600 hp range on anything we've ever done.

Re: New Fuel system
Even front mounted thats not enough pump, needs a 250 at least.

Re: New Fuel system
They flow exactly what they were tested at if you have the same conditions. Here is their published flow chart. As you can see this pump has no place as a primary pump on a high horsepower car.

Re: New Fuel system
good to know. i'm not too up on electric pumps as i've ran only belt drive the last 15 yrs. last time i used an electric pump i may have been running out of gas too but it never acted like it. all 1/8 mile stuff may have been to my advantage too.. i ran 5.60's with a holley blue

Re: New Fuel system
We try and get everyone to run belt drives but if not we stay with very big pumps like the Weldon 2345 or Magnafuel Prostar 500. And of course an extra battery to power the damn things. lol
