Anybody ever run a cal-trac set up on a mud truck ? I'm kicking around idea's on traction aids for my leaf spring truck that I can do over the winter.

After spending alot of time figuring them out on my f100 (asphalt drag) I cant see them transfering any weight in your application due to the 4x4s ride height. Id bet theyd certainly help plant the rear tires though lol.

Myron "Mud Freak" on 460Ford.com ran them for a while. I believe he had pretty good luck with them. He has videos on YouTube, I think under Hillbilly Rockstar. Yellow 70's 250 or 350 that he eventually put on a half ton frame and stepside box without fenders.

More of a swamper than a wheeler, but if you are going to use track bars on the rears, would it be plausable to limit the front travel so you don`t just yank and drop the fronts, instead find the travel they like and keep them planted
