speedway bbf header kit

Has anyone used the speedway kit.  they sell kit for $149 to make a set of bbf headers. 2 inch tubes and 3.5 inch collectors 18 guage metal. I ordered a set to try to make work on fox body. Wanted to see if anyone has ever used there kit with any luck.

Yes I have used the kit on the 1st set of headers I built for my ranger. For the money you can not be the kit just takes some time and welding skills and a good chop saw. I had to buy a extra j bend but my headers had alot of bends in them.

Ok sounds great. I have a saw and mig welder hope it works out good. Probably be better if I had tig. What did you weld with.

Mig no tig at the house

Just alittle advise I used a wood 2x4 and ball ping hammer to shape my tubes at the flangs one side flangs becareful and make sure you have enough room to get the header bolts in and out. On a couple of them put only a small weld down the side or the weld will get in the way when you tighten the bolt.

speedway motors inc. Think part number may be 930fo460    429/460 big block ford header kit. $149.99.  They have a deal on shipping right now if you spend $150 the shipping will only be $8  . Shipping to me was going to be $22 because of only spending $149.99. So I found me something cheap they had that I needed. Bottle of comp cams zinc additive and pretty much got it free by getting price of purchase above $150. My total was $172 for header kit and bottle of zinc additive and shipping.

I used the same kit to build a set of tube chassis headers.

My heads were ported Dove and flanges required some pre fitting to match ports. The kit worked well. Pics on request. Headers are for sale.

I did the same thing when I bought mine I bought two of the their shorty mufflers I think they was like $9.99 each then is was if you spent over $150 free shipping. They more for looks than a muffler but will get you pass inspection if your race where you have to run mufflers you can say they was free for me as it would have cost me more just for the header kit if I had to pay for shipping..
