C9VE engine from 69 Continental -- Have questions about where to go with this engine

Yes, I did get the parts.  I got a lot..  For the $500, I got the short block with Edelbrock cam and D0VE heads.  

For $300 more, I got a whole 460 gasket kit, some SCJ gaskets new, 351m/400 bellhousing, brand new march aluminum pulleys, steel 460 pulleys, 2 timing covers, valve covers, hardened pushrods, new oil pump, oil filter relocator, fox oil pan, Holley mechanical fuel pump, Holley 750 carb with 3,000 miles, fram fuel filter, billet timing gears/chain (new), another double timing chain (used), new weiand water pump, newer alternator 3g.  I think thats about it.  There might be a couple things that I forgot.

Judging by an eBay search of "completed listings," C8VE C9VE & D0VE heads sell for about $400 per pair all day long (green dollar amounts indicate the final selling price). See the link below:
