I've got C8VE heads and i want a simple conversion to rocker studs and guide plates? any suggestions? and a set of affordable roller rockers, and lock nuts????

Comp cams lists the studs and guide plates your need just standard stuff.

Good idea to mill the bosses and tap the holes deeper. The ford racing catalog has the instructions.

As far as rockers, comp, lunati, ford racing, scorpion and Harlan sharp all offer good rockers at a fair price. Stay away from the low end stuff house / eBay brands they are off shore and tend to be if poor quality.

Question for dave,
On the bosses to be milled: Would the amount needed removed, be the thickness of his guide plates and use a 1.9 stud????

i have a comp cams book. dont know what to order.. Any part numbers would be a big help
called comp. this is what they told me to use.
4512-16 studs
4834-8 guideplates
17045-16 roller rockers

Does this sound right?

dfree thanks for the info in the ford racing catalog.. that was big.. I didn't know about machining the heads or drilling the holes deeper
