Better send ford a check for 180k or so now!  Im sure they would refund any difference.  If the last GT is any indication it will be a limited production run.   200 to 400 cars only.  First 20 or so are already spoken for....  after that the buyer list will fill fast.   Then wait 2 to 3 years for your cars delivery depending where you fall on the list.  There are 3 of the 05 GTs here in Tucson.  Ford dealer owner has one.  Other 2 are two doctors.   As aero efficient designed ad it is its a shame none will ever get put on a race track in a full contention competition.

a racing version with full factory support will be entered in the 2016 United SportsCar Championship as well as in the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. The latter event coincides with the 50th anniversary of Ford’s historic 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans victory with the original GT40.

In the United SportsCar Championship, Ford will reportedly team up with Chip Ganassi Racing, which raced in this year’s inaugural season with an EcoBoost V-6-powered Ford Daytona prototype. If the rumors prove true, Chip Ganassi Racing and Ford will be competing together in the 2016 season with two examples of the new GT supercar. The racing version of the new GT supercar will compete in the GTLM category in the United SportsCar Championship and in the similar GTE category of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.  Rumored to be building the race car is Canada’s Multimatic Motorsports.

whats the matter they couldn't get a real engine to put in it? they had to put in and after birth engine? it sounded like a 6 cylinder Cummins...

rules are changing, have to go with rules if you want to race...

at least they could have put a v8 in it to make it not sound so much like a Cummins

With racing on the venue definatly makes sense for the 6 cyl.  Weight penalty for displacement.   Also have to look at fuel mileage to compete against the damn diesel Audi.

I've got to agree with Coug on this a v6 is just all wrong for this car. They should at least make the street / public version avaliable with a v8.

WHen i got word that the Raptor also was going V-6,,, i was and still am in the same boat as everyone else..
I do feel the V-8 should be the power plant!

But i dont get to make those kind of calls...

Has Ford introduced anything new with the trucks? Where can I go to find out what all they have released?

I do know one thing I will buy a v8 and I will not care if it is Ford or Chevy, I really want a diesel but aint nobody buiding a good one yet so I when time comes will go back gas unless I can find another 7.3 in good shape... I will promise this I WILL NEVER OWN A ECOBOOST EVER, I will go Chevy before that happens....you tell the Bosses they lost a Diehard ford man I have owned one or many for at least 50 years.... I raced fords when they weren't Cool cuz I was Die hard Now I just DGAF about fords new program

I will say that I'm as Ford friendly as anyone out there and currently own 5 Fords (2 Lincolns) and a Lexus, but I could not have been more pissed when my $70k Platinum pick-up left me stranded because of a DEF problem.

They could have at least put the 5.0 coyote in it and made it somewhat acceptable, instead of an Eccoturd, what next are they going to put a Kawasaki in a car next Whinnnnng a Dingggggg Dingggggg Dinnggggg

Curt I have seen quite a few of the new Ford Truck parked on the side of the Road or being Towed, Matter a fact I saw one this am on the way home from work in the ditch 5 miles out of town.

If i were single!   HELL YA. Ide dump the house for that.     The 05s have neen in auction for out of this world money.   An original GT40 auctioned off for more than several of my houses......

I wonder if the new model GT will have more head room. I sat in a late model GT and I couldn't close the door. The sales man almost knocked me out trying to get the door shut! It was almost comical! Imagine me sitting in the car drooling and notice the door hitting my head progressively harder and harder. I finally hollered at him and said "that's my head"!

The original Taurus SHO was a Yamaha.

You don't get into a car like that, you put it on like a suit. Sounds like you had the wrong size.

Looking at that body shape and aero package, it may not have a BBF friendly engine bay.

Pretty cool areo deal there, tho...sending lots of air THROUGH the car instead of around it.
