Ford Fusion and Taurus
I have been looking at a 2010 Taurus SEL with the 3.5 and Fusion with a 2.5 I believe but it is not a turbo, just wondering the good and bad on them. The two I am looking at is only $1500 different in price I myself like the Taurus which is more plus bigger the wife like the Fusion only thing I don't like is the 4 cylinder.

Re: Ford Fusion and Taurus
I got my wife a 2012 fusion with everything except sunroof. It has plenty of room for my kids in the back and plenty room up front plus the trunk is huge. I didnt like the 4cyl it dont have near the ass the 3.0 ours has. The handling is awesome and is all around a great car. Last may we went on a trip and it got 28mpg with the cruise on 80.

Re: Ford Fusion and Taurus
I've been seriously considering picking up a Fusion for my kid that turned 16 back in Sept of last year. He goes off to college in less than 18 months
I bought him a pretty much stock 94 Lightning a few years ago,..... BUT,.... unfortunately,.....his driving skills leave a lot to be desired. Rear wheel drive, V-8, 4:10 gears and a new, inexperienced driver is going to be a recipe for disaster. Not to mention the MPG is going to suck when he starts putting down a bunch of miles to school.
I found an 08 Fusion with 34k on it that a little ol' lady has (actually a 90 yr old man),...... BUT,.... they want a bit too much for it,.... IMO.
Had it listed for 10,800,.....said he'd take 10. I'd be a buyer at 9k,....but not that much.

Re: Ford Fusion and Taurus
own a 2011 taurus sel 3.5
my fiance drives it daily , great car nice and plenty of room . 3.5 has plenty of power for the car to do its thing , its no eco boost but think its 270-280 hp if i recall
only complaint is backing the damn thing up , the quarter panels are big and high and the rear windshield is small . Im used to it now but its not the greatest in that aspect .
we have 60 k on ours , has a good commute daily with it and have no real complaints

That is one thing I noticed when I test drove it told the wife last night she going to have to be super careful backing it up I think it has backup sensors just have to make sure they say on.

It is nice for sure now just got to learn how to work all the gadgets it got then teach the wife how to use them. I drove it today to work now not sure if I want to give it to the wife to drive now but to keep peace in the house and keep playing with the truck she get it in the morning.

Re: Ford Fusion and Taurus
Bought my wife a 2012 Steel Blue Fusion last week, she LOVES it. She's only 5 feet tall and it fits her to a "T". Only problem is the 2.5, but it's not too bad, with a decent passing gear. . Her 'other ride' is an '08 Sportrac so she loves how the Fusion handles. I like it myself...she let me drive it once .
BTW nice ride 69F100 .
