ok, on a 521 p51 headed motor how much boost would it take to make approx. 1200 hp on gas? I don't know alot about turbos , been thinking about probably a big single in a year or so. i don't want to have to run a water to air intercooler. starting to kinda look at where i would be able to put an air to air that will support that hp level. is there any chance of getting there without an intercooler? i don't really want to run e-85.
thanks, wayne

I'd think with 12-15# it would be possible.

It'd be easier and most likely cheaper with twins. I would use efi for tuning though.

yea, i thought about smaller twins it would depend on packaging. is there a boost level that would require a water to air intercooler? would twins work running them into a Y then into a single inter cooler? i would definitely go EFI no question.

I'm running a single s475 on my 466 and it was previously dyno'd at 975 at the rubber at 4500 R's on E85. I would think that a pair of 75's and a good intercooler would get you to those numbers on 93 octane with a safe tune and 15 lbs of boost with that many cubes.

Don't you have the yellow BBF Turbo Fox Body Mustang in the Ford Build Section on Yellowbullet?
