X275 Maverick Chassis pictures
I thought I would post a few pics of the chassis we did for an X275 Maverick. This is legal as per John Sears. It is not the most expensive build but is a cool mix of old technology and the new. This started life as an AJE "kit" that we had to fix to make as right as we could. We modified the A-arms to be adjustable since we used a stationary upper mount.
The front suspension, struts/14" springs/brakes/spindles, is on there just for mock up and to get it rolling. It will have Santhuffs on the front with 2" lowering spindles with a 12" spring to match the rear. The rear is a custom 9" for this lightweight car by us with Caltrac bars and Caltrac springs.
This came to us with a partial cage with minitubs and some other work the the customer spent a lot of money on. It was welded in very nicely but not much was square so it took some time to work everything but I feel it turned out decent. It has plenty of engine room.

Can't find the "like" button. Big Al is gonna want to know who made the fiberglass nose.

The nose is Glasstek. I'm trying to get Unlimited to make a mold because this one is very flimsy.
Thanks for the compliments. We wanted to more because I love Mavericks but his budget wouldn't allow.

Re: X275 Maverick Chassis pictures
For those of you that asked. Those are Racecraft strut mounts for a Mustang (Team Z ones are too pretty to cut up and make work on these cars.) The aluminum spacers are all on top just to try and give the customer a visual of ride height. With the rights springs and spindles they will be mounted correctly which will lower the tops of the struts a bunch.

Very nice. Is the front leaf spring pocket in the stock location? The pictures seem to show rear sliders and fairly tall spring perches. Anything you can share about the geometry of the leafs for this kind of build? I ask as we bought a grandma fresh Maverick with far more modest 1/4 mile intentions at low 10's, high 9's.

Factory perches in the front. The rears are about 6" higher than stock but the rear end mounts weren't added until springs were set so angles for pinion are correct. When using the caltrac type bars we've not seen any issues by changing actual spring angles.

I Don't Think He Comes Around Anymore Mav.
This Place Rocked Before FB Got Big, We Had a Bunch of Hard Corp Racers Here Back in 2015.
I am Not Positive at All But, I would Go Out on a Limb and ASS/UME That it Was Setup For BBF.
I Would Also ASS/UME it's Quite a Bit Under 3K Pounds, Could be Wrong on Both Though.
5Point's Fairmount is Very Light at Around 28-29, I Believe, at The Line so I Would "Think" a Maverick Would Not Be Much Heavier?
Hey Mav, Do You Still Have That BadAss 501or2 with the Ported Aluminum SVO Cobra Jet Heads?
If So Can You Bring It To Texas, Please

Re: X275 Maverick Chassis pictures
ya i was hoping he might read and respond we will see . i am going to redo my whole car this winter and put a full cm cage into it . just not sure if the 25.1 spec will do it is all. my car weighs 3180 now plus me with a bbf and c6 i know i can shed alot of weight just not sure i can get it too 2600 plus me is all . i think i would have to do the floor and all

the 502 ran a 8.85 @ 150 mph and i can only launch @about 1700rpm any more and blows the tires of . hard tail altered .

I Don't Know How Much You Weight but, I Would Think 2,600 Lbs. with You in It, Would be Tough with The Floors Even?
^ I Would Think You Would Need a Bunch of Fiber Glass, Lexan , Carbon Fiber and Aluminum To Get That Light with a Regular Weight Driver. I may be All Wrong About That Thought
Seems To Me That 501//2 Runs Pretty Good. Do You Agree or Think it Should Have Been Faster?
Wish You where close to Texas, and would do a Bunch of Horse Trading and Labor including Transmission and Rear End Builds/Setups Ect., if you were to Trade or Reduce the Price of It 501/2 CobraJet.
I Doubt I will 4 Link/BackHalf the 3/4 Ton. I may Though.
Just Hate to Mod a Good Vintage Heavy Ford Tow Rig Like That and Kind of Also Turn it Into A "One Trick Pony".
Need To Find a Total POS and Cut it All Up and Make it As Light as I Can to Go Really Fast With My HP Engine Budget for The Time Being.
A Small Truck or Light Car (Fairmont) Would Be The Ticket For Sure.
