Ok to use plastic c6 pump thrust washer?

So in order to get correct end play I needed to use an old plastic thrust washer for the pump in my c6.
Is it ok to run these plastic washers? My tranny had a nice metal clevite one

All the stock one's I have taken apart seemed to hold up fine. I do prefer the metal ones though. Is this going behind a real high HP build or something mild?
