Post  HorsinAround August 31st 2015, 11:24 am

I finally decided to take my 11 F150 dd truck to the strip on TnT night to get some practice in so I could start learning the lights and such. Was pleasantly surprised with the turd.
It made more power than I could use off the line. (was wishing I could lock the elocker in 2wd) so I had to learn how I could get a decent Et by rolling into WOT. My first Rt was a .337 followed by several red lights, but then I started getting it, and started cutting .02, .03 and .04 lights. The highlight of my night was when a later model 'vette pulled up and only beat me by 1/2 car length.

Certainly is a lot that goes into it lol.

I thought about it, but didn't want to risk breaking something.

Yes, it was in tow haul mode. And it just hit me that I had turned off traction control a while ago.

I don't have the time slips here at work for the ET, but we were consistently hitting 71-73mph in the 1/8.

Running the traction control on our new 5.0 GT killed the ET. Every time the tires broke loose the engine would go back to about 4k rpm and took awhile for it to regain. Not a good idea.
