Re: Help with suspension
Drivers side rear tire keeps unloading. And from the video it never squats on that side. Lakewood drag shocks in rear with adjustments in the spring (big blue threaded adjustment). Full weld in subframe connectors. Anything else you need I can let you know.

Re: Help with suspension
These suspensions don't squat. Everything looks fine. All you need is an antiroll bar to keep the rear level when launching.

Team Z, Wolfe, Race Craft, even UPR (even though most of their stuff is not up to standards)...
I'm sure that WhatBumper could even make you one...

Re: Help with suspension
I thought they mounted behind axle? I swear my 2000 gt had one mounted behind axle but maybe I'm wrong. I'll crawl under late tonight when I get back.
I've seen and heard good things about team z.

in front, behind, below. makes no difference.
for easy to install mass produced kits I'm a fan of the TRZ billet one but Team Z is very good as well. Ours are a little too heavy duty for your application. They are meant for 1500+ applications.

Re: Help with suspension
Drivers side is tightened all the way where the passenger side is elongated some. Suggestions?

Re: Help with suspension
apparently the aluminum pieces either aren't bolted onto the torsion bar or that little bar isn't good enough. We never use anything that small.

You can see the bolt through the arm on the driver's side, but it does look like a cheesey setup that would flex a lot.whatbumper wrote:apparently the aluminum pieces either aren't bolted onto the torsion bar or that little bar isn't good enough. Â We never use anything that small.

I couldn't tell if it was a bolt or some sort of set screw.

Re: Help with suspension
Both maybe. The one on the drivers side looks like it goes all the way through with a nut on the bottom, the passenger side looks like a bolt coming down from the top, hard to tell if it goes all the way thru.

If u guys want more pics i can give you whatever? Also just put my 10.4 pass on photo bucket but if you slow it down you can see where I pedaled it out of the hole and was sawing like a sob.

Re: Help with suspension
Disconnect both linkages from the housing and see if you can twist it with your hands. See if there is any play in the bar itself...

Re: Help with suspension
their should be no preload on the bar adjustment but then again that setup is not ideal.

Re: Help with suspension
The main bar is solid. I did find one broken bolt that connected aluminum piece to/thru bar. It's really tightened as far as it can go so I maybe screwed

Re: Help with suspension
Just how small OD was the old anti-roll's torsion tube/bar anyway? Might be an optical illusion but the pics kinda make me think either it's a 1" OD torsion bar with giant aluminum arms, or regular sized aluminum arms with a 3/4" OD torsion bar.
