Blown head gasket
Hey guys I picked up a truck with blown head gaskets and when I got it home and pulled the dip stick I think every bit of coolant was in the oil pan. They guy said he drove it for 10 miles like this and it's been parked for a year and a half. Is it possible to have that much coolant in the oil pan in that short amount of time with just a blown head gasket? Also with all that water sitting in the oil pan for a year and a half do I need to worry about other problems?
On a side not I have a set of D0VE heads. Would it be possible for me to swap those onto my '95 efi 460 since I'm going to be pulling the heads anyway?

If the engine was hot and the coolant was under pressure, that much coolant in the pan is almost a certainty.
As to the rest of the engine's condition, it is a gamble so, it is a personal decision of where to go from here.

What are some of the other problems that might arise?

Re: Blown head gasket
I'd pull it down and ring and bearing it too.
Your better off sticking with the stock heads if it's just a driver.
The Dove heads will require a different intake and a lot of work to work with the EFI
