Do they make a screw in freeze plug kit for stock blocks
After popping a freeze plug out this past weekend. I want to tap the holes and put screw in freeze plugs. I am not sure if the A460 plugs will work or not. I know its a 1 1/2 freeze plug. Can I just get 1.25 npt tap and A460 freeze plugs?

You can buy pugs and taps, I'm not sure anybody makes a specific kit.

I did a search on here and got what I needed. Should of did that first but it was just on my mind and just posted this thread. I am going to put screw in freeze plugs in the blocl before this motor goes in my Falcon.

The SBF and the BBF use the same size core plugs.

I have a couple sets left and have tapped and installed many sets in the last forty years. They are bullet proof. The good thing about the 429-460 block is you only need 1 tap and a reamer. On the small blocks you need the reamer, a starting tap and a bottoming tap as the cylinder walls are too close to the core plug holes.
