What size are the freeze plugs for the factory production block?

How many of the threaded plugs withe the hex head should be in the kit? There are five in the kit I got. Where do the two that are pointed at the back go?

The pointed plugs are the ones in the front behind the timing gear

If you are going to tap them for pipe plugs, they are as Lem stated, 1.25 NPT. They may measure 1 1/2", but that isn't pipe thread sizing.

ALL Ford engines of the era use 1-1/2" freeze plugs.

The number of oil gallery plugs depends on the size of plug we re talking about.
