Meh, at times in the past I have sometimes used a very little amount of WD40 or PB Blaster on old abused 5/8 Drive Stud/nut threads if the nuts were a little hard to spin on by hand. But if you go crazy lubing them up it will attract dirt, and dirt will lock up the threads just like rust will.

I use a tiny bit of anti-seize compound on the threads only. No seizing, no loosening.
