Deleting fuel pump concentric ring
Building a 429. I'm thinking of deleting the mechanical fuel pump ring that goes on the cam gear.
I am running a electric fuel pump to supply the Fitech FI carb.
Do i just remove the concentric and bolt the cam gear on? Any adverse effects from doing this?

Using a carb and switching to electric I usually left the FP concentric ring in place as a road side fix if need be, but with FI it likely won't help, so as far as I know the only adverse affects will be if the cam bolt bottoms out without the concentric spacer and torques the threads.
