Compression help !
I Have 1986 460 out of a motor home stock bore, crank, rods and pistons, I pulled the d3ve heads off and put c8ve-e heads on. The heads have cobra jet size valves 2.250 intake 1.760 exhaust , they been milled 0.10 thousandths I put stock fel-pro head gaskets on I think there 41 thousands compressed . Just kind of wondering around what my compression might be?
Thanks for any help!!!

Probably around 8 to 1.
Wouldn't have been around 8 to 1 with the D3VE Heads?

Re: Compression help !
In the 9-9.5 range depending on head actual CC.
Bet on closer to 9

Re: Compression help !
I misread -- I was reading D8VE heads like some marine engines had.
"86 motorhome short block = 22 cc oblong dish pistons about .040" down the bore; (about 10 cc).
11.5 cc head gasket
about 76 cc combustion chamber head
942 cc cylinder
The math says about 8.9/1 ...
