529 build
I have a fresh 529 build and was wanting some input from you fellas.
a-429 mildly ported 2.25 1.76 valves
port matched victor 4500 intake
.270 @ .050 .785 intake .276 @ .050 .720 exhaust installed at 108 113 l/s
1320 cfm carb
probe flat top pistons 1/16-3/16 rings
13.6 cr
no vacuum pump just header evac tubes
We aren't going to dyno this engine. I am looking for some realistic power expectations.

Re: 529 build
Thanks. I would be happy with mid 700 range. We have it in the car and have run a 6:15 @ 111. Car weighs about 3000 on track just an old home built back half car. Next thing on the list is a new converter. The current one in car dad bought used from a guy in about 1992 ish.

Re: 529 build
Similar to my build but most likely my A429s are a little better. Mines making around 825HP.
Runs 5.87 to 6.0 and 9.25 to 9.40 depending on weather at 3200#

Re: 529 build
Power output will depend largely on the cylinder head porting job.
The Victor intake when only port matched will have an hour glass shape. (larger csa at plenum, then smaller, then larger at port matched flange)
It takes a fair amount of work to get it rectified. (I recall around 4 sq inches at plenum, then 3.4 sq inches in port, then 4+ sq inches at port matched
exit) Needless to say a fair amount of effort to fix.
I would guess 700 to 800, not knowing much about the port work or intake work.
Cheers
