Building a 429.   I have a front sump stock pan with baffel and 2 indentations on the shallow end (or Rear) that are slightly hitting the rear of the windage tray when installed.

Can I use this pan and modify or bend the indentations out somewhat?

Or is there another solution?

I would prefer not to buy another pan.

If you can cut and weld, you can make it fit.

How much contact is "slightly"? Did you check the fit with a pan gasket in place?
If slight contact, take a hammer to the pan. Give it a couple of gentle raps - if it needs more than that, you'll need pan modifications or a different pan. IMO.
