Installing 1 piece oil pan gasket - quesdtions?
Installing a M-6710-a460 1 piece Ford Racing pan gasket.
It has the steel reinforced gasket with grommets.
Do I use any sealant when installing?
Are these reusable?
Thanx

A dab of silicone in the four corners is all. You can reuse them if you don't tear them.
That gasket has 1/4" grommets in the four corners and blocks before fuel injection have 5/16" bolt holes in the four corner locations.
Oh yea, I should mention, that the oil pan itself has a lot to do with whether or not you will experience a leak.
The oil pan rails MUST be flat ... if those rails are embossed, use a regular 4 piece gasket set because otherwise that junction WILL leak.

My friend at Eddie's Marine told me that the step drill is less aggressive
than a regular drill.
