Australian Landau Coupe BBF build..

Thought i'd post some of the build of this vehicle for all the guys on the forum that may never of seen a Australian Landau coupe..a pretty rare car over here now a sort of luxury LTD version of a Australian coupe.. they only made 1385 of these over 4 years of production..1973-76.. i'd think lucky to be half of those left in existence either needing restoration or on the road.. only available fully loaded with a 351 cleveland, fmx auto, 9inch diff, powersteering, aircond, electric windows..and a 4 seater 2 rear seats that are smaller versions of the front.. with only a few optional extra's like leather interior etc..

They were highly underated for many years compared to a normal falcon coupe (AKA Mad Max road warrior) body style but that is starting to change now..   Alot of styling cues from our American cousins vehicles seats look very similar to a 71 continental Mark III some interior parts out of late 60's mustangs and cougars and of course the front sheet metal treatment and vacuum operated headlights.. very torino or mercury cougar-cyclone like inmo..

I used to own this car i sold it to a good friend and we were lucky enough to have been asked to do a full revamp of the car panel and paint, new engine  wiring fitout etc etc..it  was alot of effort but great to be able to see, work on and ocassionally drive my old car..

Very nice!! Those cars are like a combination of Torino and 71-73 Mustang and the front grille is very much like our 1969 LTD's

Thanks Man..I remember seeing these as a kid and thinking what a mysterious sinister looking car they where .. only muscle car manufactured here that got the hide away lights treatment... which i've always loved in your versions of muscle car fords and mopars..
