Can someone give me a little better idea on how a solid roller setup would be as far as making my motor react different from a solid tappet? I know they say they are not good at low rpms, but as it sets I am looking at a 4,000 stall any way on my setup according to PTC with a flat tappet cam. I think I will opt to do a roller since my stall will be that big.

With a set of street SCJs I doubt a roller set up would make much more power but would add several $s more to the cost .

I was looking at the throttle response and if any gains could be had. Thanks Lem.

leaving @ 4000 and above? thr res shouldnt be a problem, but a correct grind roller will make more power, and will be more responsive then a flat

Given the flow curve of the SCJs...peak flow at or below .600" the roller just aint a big bang for the buck per your application .

so cleaning the lips up behind the valves don't increas the flow for higher lift, it just makes it more efficent?

A good pocket port/bowl blend will pick up the flow on the intake side 40-45 cfm but it'd be unlikely that the peak point will move more than .025" . Will the flow pick up at .700"...yes but it'll still be about 20-25 cfm less than it flowed at about .600" .
