balancer problem

ok bought this 514 turn key.. need to change balancer old one measured 6.25 with tape measure....picked up new one is 6.76 diameter ..now factory timing pointer is 10 degrees advanced ..yes we are on tdc.. called ordered adjustable one from suppler they told me i needed an ati 918945..told them i had msd crank trigger 8644..recieved pointer will not work ...i am at a loss..ready to send it all back or go rogue and cut factory pointer long ways mark it and have it welded or brazed up... so heres all part numbers thru jegs...balancer is 555-51634 pointer is 085-918945...i am at a loss. i think old balancer might have been a summit ??
