2018 F150 Auto Start/Stop Tech

If I had a new truck I would not use a tune to turn it off. The tune may void the powertrain warranty if Ford detects a tune (maybe)

Easiest fix is what Big Block Ranger posted.
A simple plug into the trailer connector will cause the truck to detect it has a trailer hooked up and it will automatically disable the start/stop.

All it has to do is detect a small light bulb drawing power thru the trailer connector

No I hit the switch...... it would be a second or two slower if it was on.....

Nice my bone stock daily driver 2017 Super Crew 4x4 XL STX with 3.5L Eco Boost 10 speed automatic and Max Tow Package ran a 9.222@76.68 mph and a 9.235@76.44 mph in the 1/8 mile 14.323@96.21 mph and 14.334@96.41 mph in the 1/4 mile!!:)2 wd or 4wd truck?

To get this thread back on topic you can use Forscan to turn off the auto start/stop function. Good friend just did it with his new F150.

Just started checking this out, looks pretty cool with the Bluetooth plug in OBD module and working on a IPhone.

Friend has been using it for some time and likes it. Going to check it out myself.

IDK about Apple but the Android version is Forscan lite and doesn't seem tp do as much as the windows version. I have the OBDLink MX Bluetooth and use the bluetooth on my laptop.

One thing I have found is lots of times it won't connect to your device if you just looking at bluetooth connections but if you open Forscan and hit connect it finds the device every time.

It's actually euro standards required, the EPA liked and picked it up. Ive been dealing with it since 14, it's very finicky on parameters to work
Depending how the ford system works, does it use a second battery for the restart, if so, disconnect that battery, and system stops working, may or may not turn the light for eco on the dash.

Only one battery in the F-150's!!

damn, is there a separate module that has a capacitor in it. We've gone through 4 different system, 2 of which we could disable by either disconnect the battery, or it was a stand alone module we disconnected. First 3 years of the having it every one wanted it gone, now everyone keeps saying it wont work. Can't win with customers
