Scj head valve spring and retainers question
I'm sure this is a silly question for some but trying to get some bare SCJ head parts ordered/set up
With the solid cam I got from Randy
And I order crane 99954-16 springs, there are two retainers that come up that match the 1.460 outside diameter
#99954-16 and #99953-16, only difference is #54 adds 1.40 to the height and #53 adds 1.00 to height.
How do I know which ones to get? If installed at 1.825
Basically if I set these up to be like out of the box new

At that height use the 99893-16 Crane springs;
99944-16 Retainers.
Or, better yet use the Ford Performance springs which came on the flat tappet SCJ heads ... M-6513-A351 springs and M-6514-A50 retainers.
It is all the same thing.

Those heads came from FRPP with correct spring cups, PC type seals and machined locks, also.

These heads are new, but the guy went another route, and have valves and guides. Il have to see when I get back home if they have the spring cups,and seals. I might have to order some of that from you.
