So with the Achilles heel of the stock heads being the exhaust. How would it work to enlarge the exhaust valve only to near the same as intake size. The intake is helped by forced induction. a large exhaust valve would help get it all out. Am I just all around wrong in my thinking.

What kind of head is it, factory iron??
There is a limit to the size you can go before you break into the coolant passage. The common exhaust size for the BBF head is 1.76"......but if you are keeping the intake valve size as stock 2.08", you may be able to get a 1.80" or possibly a 1.880" size.
If you had a junk head that you can cut up or slice right through the exhaust bowl, you can get a visual idea of how much "meat" there is to work with.

It’s not really that bad of a handicap, appropriate and correct cam timing for the application is the real solution
