Brakes and bolt pattern problem
Hi, I have Strange Slotted Rotors(https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/str-b2796/)(https://www.jegs.com/i/Strange-Engineering/873/B2796/10002/-1) on my front brakes for 5x4.75 weld wheels and I recently bought an used pair of 5x4.5 alumastar wheels so I wanted to know what can I do because the rotor has holes for both bolt patterns but the 5x4.5 are bigger and the rotor doesnt stay still.
I tried to attach an image but didnt succed.

Re: Brakes and bolt pattern problem
I run this strange set-up as well. If you are describing what I think you are saying all you have to do is the following.
Remove two bolts for caliper and remove and set aside with brakes
Remove slotted rotor
Remove center cap and pull cotter pin&nut to remove hub assembly (like you would to grease or service bearings)
If hub assembly is dual pattern meaning 4.75 and 4.5 bolt pattern you should be able to put in a bench and move studs to the desired holes.
Although I have only seen hubs with one wheel pattern and larger lightening holes only (un-threaded).
If this is the case you will have to purchase two new hubs for the desired wheel pattern and replace the bearings and races to the other hub
And yes the rotor is designed to work with either 4.75 pattern and 4.5
I hope this makes sense.
