572 thoughts??

Has Anyone ever done a 572 with iron heads? Iron heads are only allowed in the class. The use is truck pulling

The cast iron EX514 heads are used on larger engines than that, even.

What about with ported CJ heads?

I believe that Eliminator Products makes iron heads that are better that the CJ's.....

I’ve just never seen 572 with iron CJs. I have CJs done and ready. Eliminator does make a great head

Probably not..

Brett Powell made around 900 hp at only 470 C.I. with well worked iron CJ's spinning it 8500 ish rpm. I recall another 557 build that made over 800 at a much lower rpm. Can't recall the owner's name but if you search the "other" forum you'll find it.
