SR-71 heads hydro roller
Am i wrong in thinking that the SR-71 heads are conducive to a better hydraulic roller lifter setup? The reason being the longer valves and raised pedestals? Im not an engine builder but is the pushrod side-loading less of an issue with these heads?

I don’t think hydraulic rollers are the intended application for those heads.

Yes, the valves are longer, and the rocker stud pad is raised higher. As a result the pushrods are longer than other CJ style heads. With a mechanical roller they are in the neighbor hood of 9.500" long. The longer pushrods will have less side angularity.
