A460 cast tunnel ram....

ok, I have a thought about using an A460 cast tunnel ram lower intake and blocking off the top and mounting a forward facing throttle body on the front in an EFI application. so the fuel would be added with the injectors at each port. Has anyone ever seen this done? How will the cylinder to cylinder flow be ? Is there enough volume in the manifold to support 572 cid to 6800-7000 rpm? currently running a single dominator cast manifold with 4 hole throttle body and I would like to go to a forward facing throttle body for hood clearance and
possible boost in the future.

Depending on how the top is made, it would be much like the Holley Hi-Ram intake for Chevy's and small block Ford's.

It's been done. Keith Fulp has done it for a customer. I have a helluva rime posting pictures on this site, but I did post pictures of the manifold on a Facebook Ford site about six months ago.

For those that have run EFI, is a front facing throttle body better or worse than a couple of TBs on top of the tunnel ram? 598 cu in.

I have not run a tunnel ram on my efi setup . with that said i would think throttlebodies on top would work better. I am thinking about forward facing because I am putting things in place for a turbo application with a factory hood.
