460 block to trans separation plate.

Are the auto and std trans plates the same? Thanks.

As I remember the automatic plate is smaller across the bottom than a standard plate.

It's been a while but I don't think standard has inspection plate for torque converter bolts.

My first 460 engine came with a C6 trans attached, I put a Richmond 5 speed behind it, and the C6 block plate didn't match up to the standard bell housing. I wound up fabricating my own plate using the bell housing as a template. It's been in there for the past 15 years with no problems.

Thanks. I'll look for an auto plate to be safe. I let mine go with the 460 when I sold it assuming guys would be tripping over those stupid things at the wreckers;however,can't find one locally. Must have all gone in the scrap bin over the years and off to the recyclers. Hate to buy a new one.

Finally lucked out on one from a friend but thanks anyway,Paul. On a side note,I've clicked on the link to your outfit many times as well as searching it off this site and it won't load. Page stays blank and doesn't open.

Maybe because I'm north of he 49th? Even if I google it and click,does the same thing.No error page or equivalent. White screen and the wheel in the menu bar just keeps spinning. Odd and it's the only site that does that.
