!! Updated with old pics from the build !!
I don't know what to do now since it has been 4 years I have been engine less!!
Engine overview:
528cu 385 series Ford, Evans Ported Iron cylinder heads, Performer RPM intake, Cartwright camshaft, Adney Rotating Assembly, engine block machine work by Quick Times Racing.

now I am just nervous about the engine break-in. I plan on breaking it in with comp engine break-in lube a Royal purple break-in oil.
The engine could have been finished 2 years ago but I decide to get away from the factory rods and switch to the H-beams. plus the first version of the engine was going to be for a turbo application. now it is a flat top high compression setup.
The most exciting part was putting those stickers on the cylinder heads!! Those are worth atleast 75hp each!!

Edelbrock, the wife gave it to me for Christmas, plus the valvecovers and oil filter adapter.
Which reminds me to thank Lem for his help. I had called him about the parts but I guess since the wife had orderd from Summit before I didn't make it easy enough to follow through with Lem.

Looks good Jones. Very understated and plain, the competition won't kow what hit em. Now get it in the truck and lets have some fun.

I like the Down Low look, too, it's really cool. The only tip off is the head studs, but still very well done.

I really wanted to paint everything the same color from the oil pan to vavle covers. I wanted it to look like an Autozone reman engine! LOL That way when some one looked at it they wouldn't have high expectations. Except for the fact it might have a Dominator and a IS two stage plate kit!

Bout time there Jones. Now come finish mine if ya don't mind...
I like the sleeper look too. If you put a big enough air cleaner on there they'll never see the plate(s)!

Looks good. I painted my whole motor blue valve covers and all in my 79. Looks like a stock motor at a glance. I would like to see some dyno numbers on that set-up but drag numbers are good too

These guys are really killing me with the dyno suggestions! If I do dyno this engine by some miracle I would like for it to be a dyno party for sure! (I think I might have enough money saved for a dyno session.) Only problem is I would like to have enough money saved to try out and purchase a Quickfuel carb, try a single plane 4500 intake manifold and some 2" or 2-1/8" headers. Maybe even a solid roller camshaft if I hit the lotto!

yeah thats my thought too Josh. The dyno session isnt too big of a problem....its the money in the back pocket to buy different cams/carbs etc that Im worried about. You know Ive GOT to have a new mafia intake and Ive been thinking some dirty thoughts about those qfx dommys.

I was wondering what the going rate is for an engine dyno session I guess per hour. Ive never used an engine dyno my motors are mostly stock parts built assembled by me. I have used a chassis dyno however. That was $75 for 3 pulls.

bout 450 a day plus fuel, a day does not include set up etc, its 450 for a days worth of sessions.
