Oil filter relocation
Is there a “best practice” when relocating an oil filter with an adapter? Some adapters better than others? My filter is going to be in conflict with my steering linkage.

I'll speak for a street application. I've used the cheapie Trans-Dapt cast aluminium pieces a couple times with no problems. Barbed fittings, rubber hose and gear clamps always seemed to leak and I switched to custom crimped regular hydraulic hose/fittings and that solved it. I was trying to keep things looking retro so braided lines and AN fittings were not an option for me.

IMO it comes down to how much room you have and where. Some are taller, some have the outlets on the end, some are on the side etc. Look to see how much room you have and go from there. The factory ones are quite large and don't fit some chassis. I used one from L&L years ago because it was very compact.

Does a 90 degree adaptor help?

A 90 would probably work. Waiting on some cast manifolds that will face forward for a single turbo. Not sure exactly where the manifold is going to dump.
