New Goodyear drag radials
Has anyone tried the new Goodyear drag radials? I have heard some good things about them on other boards. How many passes do you guys think they will live? I should be in the 4.95-5.10 range this year on slicks and looking for some tires that last a little longer.
Before anyone says MT's (I love MT's), the class that I am in only allows a 10.5 tread and the 295 MT's have a 10.8 tread but the Goodyears are 10.5. That's why I am thinking Goodyears. We would rather stay with the bigger tire rather than go with the 275's because I have 12 in wheels.

Thanks. Everyone over on the other site I frequent will only tell me that MT's are the only way to go but they won't fit the go-no-go gauge where I race unless I go to 275's.

Re: New Goodyear drag radials
The Goodyears do last longer and run higher pressure than the MTs. I know the MTs hooked better on the street but I got my best 60ft at the track on the Goodyears. 1.55 in a 11.4-11.5 truck with a 200 shot. Both were 325/50s. I only had one set bc I picked them up cheap. They do work though you just need to find what they like. Guy I bought them from went 7.80s on them which was his best at the time. He now runs only MTs and has been 6.8s. Alex Vretto yellow 95 mustang
