Has anyone had any luck with m/t drag radials? What kind of tire pressure are you running? Post #12, 13 to go!!!

That makes it sound like they suck. The same thing could be said about 25 year old dry rotted bias ply street tires you find at a swap meet......"Oh yea, they hook great, its all about power management".
I know one guy that is trying (fighting) the DR's on a basic sb leafspring street/strip/daily driver deal. He has tried slapper bars & a "Caltrac copy" and in either case they did need a bunch of air pressure to even make them think about hooking consistently. He's going back to the tried & true regular M/T drag's when he gets another set. Give me the regular drag slicks (M/T or Hoosier) any day.
Just bump your own post 13 times in a row to rack up the post count.

I went 5.63@137mph with a 1.41 60ft on them. They are 1000 times more stable on the top end then my ET Streets were.

1.24 60ft, 5.01 @ 142 1/8th, 7.80 @ 174 1/4mile....... It IS all about power management with the radial tires. You can't hit 'em hard off the line like you can with a slick or ET street type tire.

Re: drag radials
The Drag Radials are the sh!t, the M/T and Hoosiers both work well but we've had longer life from the M/T, Goodyear has also redone thiers and some people are having some good results with them but we haven't tried the new one yet (the originals from 4 or 5 years ago were horrible). Again, it is about dialing in your combo, but we ran almost 2 tenths quicker (8.47 @ 163) with a 295-65 than we did with a 10.5x29.5 (non W), both M/T. The tires are so much more stable at the end of the track and worked better for us in the 60' too, we were running at 3470 lbs in a stock suspension Mustang with a Nitrous 408 smallblock, the car had consistant 60' of 1.24-1.26 with the drag Radials. A friend of mine (Chris Little) has been 4.70's in the 1/8 and 7.20's @ 200 mph in the 1/4 using the 315-60's, it's a twin turbo charged smallblock ford, stock suspension and 3430 lbs, he's carried the the front end damn near to the 1/8. I believe the Radial record is around 4.50 in the 1/8 and 6.90 in the 1/4, and a guy with a Nitrous BBC powered stock suspension Camaro here in Maryland has run multiple 1.18-1.19 60 foots, these things work.
