Interesting.
That does make sense that you could mill a majority of the base like that since it's mostly a solid hunk of metal. And the loss of any threaded mounting holes in the base isn't a problem on foggers since the plumbing holds up the solenoids anyway.

man I can see where a couple ounces of weight might give you some big Gains if you are worried about a few ounces I think you need to go on a DIET....

correct me if im wrong ---- but if you do 4-5 stages on an intake these solenoids could save you several lbs. not ounces

Re: new light weight solenoids
lets see Bruno if you have 4 or 5 stages of Nos and you are worried about a pound or 2..... I could see it if you were ProStock But a career test and tuner? NOT the way I look at it is if you have to worry about a few pounds you have more problems than that..... Maybe you need to look into ding-a-lings aluminum lug nuts, and while your at it might as well check into some aluminum studs also.....

The old AFX cars used to leave the cotter pins of the tie rod/ball joints and such.

Its more economical to build a lighter car than it is to build a more powerful engine. Attention to detail is what makes them light , a little weight in a lot of places

X2. I remember when we built my first car. We said "weights' not that important". Then as we began racing, we started taking weight out everywhere we could. Made a big difference. Less mass is a lot easier to get moving. Might not be the answer for everyone, but it sure was for me. Now I say "weight is everything".

To say a pound here and an ounce there don't matter, next thing you know your trying to race a tank.

Ya, I would rather have the light weight Nos stuff, and the double meat hamburger. LOL I'm building a C headed motor to haul me and my chrome around.
