Need help with my powerstroke
Guys I need a little help(well actually a lot but thats another story). I just traded my 1995 7.3 powerstroke 2wd truck for a 2002 7.3 powerstoke 4wd both crewcab duallys and now my new truck has an issue. when you take off sometimes it acts like it has a flat spot in the throttle it will also "chug" every so often driving down the road. I have replaced the cam sensor and throttle pedal assembly and neither fixed the problem any suggestions on what to check next? Thank you for your assistance. Todd

does the check engine light come on when it happens?
Exhaust make a restricted sound when it happens? Could be the cold weather has the ebp trying to close, pushing the throttle down harder will usually make it back off and the truck will go. You can disconnect it it to see if its the culprit, 2 wire connector under the turbo. Its a normal operation......its just rying to warm the engine up.....took mine off lol.

The check engine light doesnt come on and it happens even after engine is warmed up I here the ebv when its cold and know what that is this is different and I may not be explaining it right but when you go to accelerate preee the go pedal and it acts as if it dies and then comes back then it runs great thru acceleration but when cruising it act like every so often it drops to idle and comes back.

Re: Need help with my powerstroke
there were recalls on the adj pedal models for the ap............if the accel pedal voltage goes out of range it will default idle only. You'll need a scan tool or a voltmeter to look for this.

could the injection control pressure solenoid(top of engine in front of drivers head) be causing this if it is going bad? I already replaced the throttle pedal assembly that didnt help.
