proper procedure to ck plugs ?
so how do you guys do it ? can you get a correct reading if you are running 1/8 or do you need to make a 1/4 hit to get a correct reading. Do you just pull one plug of a couple of them? what is the correct procedure if you are running a glide?

Re: proper procedure to ck plugs ?
You can get a reading off of a 1/8 mile run. I shut the car off going through the traps and coast to the return road. I check all the plugs when im tuning because my 4 and 5 cylinders always seem a tad leaner than the others. Once im close I usually pull 3,4,5,6.

Just lean it out until you burn a piston and then add a little back.
Seems that is how some guys around here do it.
Our car has never seen 1/4 mile. We used coast to the return road and pull plugs there. put some old plugs in and drive it to the pit. pain in the a$$ but we ran our combo for over three years without ever hurting anything. we sprayed our motor hundreds of passes. heck the motor only had 5 passes on it NA. We sprayed it off the trailer after putting a new rear suspension on it.
