2 passes on a brand new set-up...changed from the BRT - Lenco to a 'Glide . Now shift by "time" instead of RPM..

First pass...1.08 60' shook tires and kicked them loose on the shift.
2nd pass.. 1.086 60'
3.086 330
4.780 @ 144.77
6,257 1000 ft
7.523 @ 177.14 let off early , but not by much... trying not to run under 7.50

I'm very proud of you You're doing good and we want you to keep up the good work. I was talking to Phillip Oakley this week, and I told him we could form and field a team called "Oakley's Raiders". It would be a team of 16 Ford powered dragsters that had our fingerprints on them, so to speak. Of course you and Mike would be on the team.

For those that don't know, three of our local Windy Hollow racers will have new Ford powered dragsters for next year. Bobby Small, Scott Carman, and former Chevy SS Chevelle racer Bobby Shrewsberry. We have been dyno testing his new P-51 headed engine the last two days here in Owensboro.

Here's Mikes run from yesterday. He decided that the cold wind blowing at 1000mph wasn't enough to get rid of the bugs, so he sprayed them by sucking some oil and condensation out of the valve covers. Just kidding Mikey




Now for my junk. I had made some significant changes on my rear suspension. So we didn't know what was going to happen. It's hooking better as the 60' shows that, previous best was a 1.412, yesterday was 1.331. So at least something went right. Now it wants to pull to the left real bad. It probably thinks it's on a NASCRAP track I'm not sure yet but I think all the welding I did on the axle may have tweaked it, or my thrust angle is off. But I will find out and fix it.

Second attempt was exactly the same thing. Yesterday was suppose to be 3 passes so Mike could get his crossover license for door cars. To be honest, it really pissed me off that it happened the way it did. Sorry Mikey
