new motor wont idle under 1500rpm

think i got a vacuum leak, what is the best to check for leaks starter fluid?

plugs look very lean for idle ling.

What Carb do you got on the engine. I had bad leak one time with a 1050 Domi I had. Trying to make adjustments one night and couldn't get it to run right. Later I found out you need to have a some thing in the center hole for the air cleaner stud.

1150 ultra dominator i have replaced the gaskets underneath it it ran fine on the motor before i had it rebuilt and put a new cam in it

does it die or just wont idle lower than 1500?

....or propane. Take the diffuser off the end of your Bernz-o-matic torch. Then stick a piece of hose over the end of the tube. Turn on the propane and pass the end of the tube over all your gaskets, carb base, throttle shaft, etc.. When the leak gets a whiff of propane, the motor will pick up. No mess, either.

Not enough base timing can agravate that problem.

BECAREFUL !!!! I had a fire on a fork lift from trying to find a leaky intake gaskit the other day the very smallest spark will light the propane the lift had a bad plug wire that ingnited it from now on i will go back to using a spray bottle with water in it.just remember propane is heavier than air and will settle in the lowest place it can find

Hmmm..........Why do u think it has a vacuum leak?.....Who rebuilt the carb?.....What is the difference in camshafts?....Nothing else changed?.......D
