back in high school before cell phones me and my friends all had 78-79 ford trucks with cbs. that was the only way to get ahold of anyone.

I hear you on that yea i have some money tied up in it. Its a blast to talk around the the us on a cb.

I used to hit the Skip quite often myself. I haven't had my station set-up for a few years, since I moved....no tower now. Here is a rundown of the set-up....
-Galaxy Saturn peaked and tuned with an Echo-max 2000 desk mike....driving an old Black Cat JB-12 modulator...driving a 6-tube Eagle 500...about a 250 watt dead-key...will swing 1500 plus...all running into a 4-element Jo-Gunn.
I may have to find a tower and get back on the air...see if I can make the trip to Kellogg.

When I get my truck done I plan on putting a cb in it so me and my brother can cruise around and talk back and forth. Hopefully by then I get some REAL friends and friends that like cars. Right now I'm in an auto class with a bunch of f'in window lickers. None of my friends like cars and I was hoping that when I'm older i would have a friend to work on cars with. My one friends dad races a top alcohol dragster, Jeff Borh or Bohr. But we stopped hanging out.

Yea i run Presidents, RCIs with a old school d104 desk mic into a varmint 450 then to a 4-1000a i still have to get my 3cx6000 in line and get my beam done working on a 60' 7 element right now im working the GP
